The In The Black Essay Competition is back again for 2012
The Australian Veterinary Business Association in conjunction with Boehringer Ingelheim, manufacturers of the Protech, Duramune Adult and Fel-O-Vax range of vaccines, is excited to announce the In The Black Essay Competition. Susan Halloran, Editor of the AVBA's quarterly magazine, In The Black explained, “This competition is open to anyone who works in a veterinary business and is a way for all of us to become a little richer. Entrants have the chance to win one of three great prizes (Value $1000, $500 and $300) and In The Black’s readers will be enriched by the shared knowledge, experience, observations and opinions of those who make a submission.” The essay competition allows you to provide your own theme but obviously with a lean towards something of interest and relevance to those in veterinary businesses. Competition open to ANYONE working in a veterinary business of ANY TYPE. ANYONE in the veterinary industry is welcome to enter! To get your chance to be just that bit richer, all you need to do is to put your fingers to the keyboard and share with us something that will make us all just that bit richer! Write about: your fail-safe way of dealing with difficult clients, why you can't wait to go to work each day, how becoming a practice manager / vet / vet nurse / sales rep etc has changed your life, the most magnificent celebration of of the human-animal bond or anything else for that matter that is a veterinary business issue. Share your knowledge and experience, document a situation, make an observation or voice a personal view. Last year we were ovewhelmed with a very high standard of entries. The essay ‘Team Building with a Difference’, submitted by Diane Whatling, Practice Manager of the Companion Animal Health Centre at the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus was judged the best, by a panel comprising John Heath, National Sales & Marketing Manager, Boehringer Ingelheim; Mark Amott, Business Manager, Southern Animal Referral Centre and AVBA Director and Susan Halloran, Editor, In The Black.
